Oh lordy, last night was so much fun that I wouldn't feel right not having a huge hangover this morning. Super huge big thanks to all my girls last night, that was the bestest thing I could have asked for in a bachelorette party! I love you guys! Drew says I stank like whiskey when I came home, I believe that's the mark of a job well done (I only had 2 Jack & Cokes and 1 rum and Coke!). There was tiki, and there was a drag show. Saturday there were street performers, wandering around Faneuil Hall, and Kowloons. Friday night there was karaoke at the Courtside. I am officially not drinking this week until Friday night, as my poor liver is completely pickled. This has been the best weekend ever, so I'll say thanks again to [livejournal.com profile] tenillypo, [livejournal.com profile] incandes_flower, [livejournal.com profile] mrs_muffin, [livejournal.com profile] aquarianna6, [livejournal.com profile] ms_ntropy, [livejournal.com profile] wisdom_seeker, and other non-Lj folks, and to [livejournal.com profile] prosicated, [livejournal.com profile] bunnyroo and [livejournal.com profile] starflow for being fun on Saturday!

We're back! We have consumed much beer and indie rock goodness.

Last night's drunken festivities were awesome. I never, ever, want to do a mystery shot that hot girls are carrying around a bar. This morning's hangover was possibly the worst I've experienced post-college. Apologies if I laid on the "I love guys" a little too much, as I recall feeling warm & fuzzy towards everyone. Whew. Today has involved sitting and watching movies, which is about all I can handle.

Yesterday was truly, truly a great Saturday. We headed to the Beer Summit volunteer party at 3 and commenced to drinkin'. There was a great Guess the Beer contest, during which I summarily had my ass handed to me, as I couldn't discern the difference between Heineken, Bud, Sapporo, Kierin and... something else. I could pick out the IPA, but that's all I could manage. After getting nicely soused, I headed to the Bukowski's in Inman for my friend Beck's birthday. We had pabst and grilled cheese, and then moved along to the Courtside, down by Lechmere. They have excellent karaoke, and we had a ridiculously good time. Plus, they have a $13 pizza & Pabst deal that I will most assuredly need to try at some point. I was out way later than I expected, but it was so much fun. I even signed up to do "Oops I Did It Again" and "More Than This" with people, but the bar closed before they got to us. So yeah, karaoke rules. I totally want to go to the Milky Way on Tuesday.

Whoo-hoo!!!! What a fan-fucking-tastic time!

Beer Summit was awesome. I swear, I haven't been complimented or hit on so often in a long time. Pouring beer, talking to drunk people, and drinking beer = good times. Yaay!

Last night was also quite awesome, though it left me with a wicked hangover this morning. Went to the Black Rhino for some drinks with folks, then headed to Deadalus for [livejournal.com profile] philbot's birthday. Excellent, excellent.

Tomorrow I get my IPod, and will be seeing "Love, Actually" at the Somerville Theater (probably the 4:45 showing), so drop me a line if you'd like to see the movie.

Whew. So yes, we are back from Vermont. Everything about it that involved me being in or near my car was The Suck. Everything that involved socializing, drinking beer and sitting in hot tubs was Awesome. Word to the wise: don't drive a hybrid car without 4-wheel drive to a ski resort in the middle of a blizzard. Not a good idea. Skiing is not a thing for me at all. Too many spoiled rich kids, of which I got my fill in college, and too much snow (well, duh). But as always, standing around drinking beer and talking about it with strangers is fun.
I called in sick today, as car portions of the weekend skyrocketed my blood pressure to the nth degree. The car got stuck in snow multiple times, the drive was long and at times treacherous, and as I walked back from dropping it off in its Zipcar lot I broke the heel off of one of my favorite boots. That, and I have to study for my crappy exam tonight. I'm hoping to just rattle off some managementy bullshit and then make a quick escape. It's all psych 101 stuff, and since I was a psych major, I've heard it all before. Alright, on to studying.
