Last night we went to my kung-fu school's Thanksgiving potluck, and it was tons of fun. Yay for socializing. Swung by Redbones to say a brief hello to the folks gathered there, and then made it home just in time for the best part of every Thursday night. That would be Supernatural. Which was super, super good last night.

So, the davis_square community has finally paid off from its huge, insane, annoyance by containing a post this morning about free cupcakes at Lyndell's on Dec. 3. Free delicious cupcakes!

Off to an all day cataloging conference in Worcester this morning. Woo.

Man, it totally figures that you would be incommunicado the one day after the best episode of the season. Who will discuss the man pain with me now? DEAR GOD, THE MAN PAIN!

I'm surprised that she said she liked it, as she was pretty down on the episode all evening.

Really? I loved it, start to finish. Clearly, this is why discussion is required.

Damn you, cataloging conference! *shakes fist*

Those boys should totally kiss.

Think of the MAN PAIN that would come of the guilt of hooking up with your fictional brother on the high-gloss hood of your immaculate late model American muscle car with squeaky door hinges!

[identity profile] tenillypo.livejournal.com 2007-11-16 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Trust me, my friend. There are literally thousands upon thousands of pages devoted to thinking of just that on these them thar interwebs. (except for the part about the squeaky door hinges. because you're the only one who notices that stuff.)

I suppose watching your girlfriend burn up on the ceiling is enough of a nudge to the psyche that the thought of macking your brother or of leaving simple car maintenance unattended is not a terrible stretch.

Really though, do "all the ladies" dig emotionally troubled & distant guys?

[identity profile] tenillypo.livejournal.com 2007-11-16 05:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Speaking in my official capacity as Spokeswoman for All Ladies Everywhere, I have to say: yes. Yes, we do. The prettier and more emotionally troubled, the better.

Also, it helps that they are fictional.

OMG, please to be discussing the MAN PAIN. Sammeh!!!! I feel like I need to watch it again, though.

I love what they did with Gordon, because that plot had the potential to get old and tired fast. But, but, Sammeh decapitated him! And then the boys with the honest talk about emotions and... *flail* I was just going "oh boys" for the last five minutes of the show. I'm not sure now what i was down on, but D. may be misinterpreting my hatred of Gordon as hatred for the plot, which I actually enjoyed. I think. My brain is pretty fried from cataloging talk all day.

I would speak for the population of ladies for whom "troubled" is dug, but not necessarily "distant." Though I will add the caveat that upon reaching "maturity" I ceased to enjoy both troubled and distant in my personal life, but it sure does make good television.

I know, me too! CAR FIXING! Oh, my heart...also the conversation in the hotel room. Puppy dog eyes! And Sam knows that Dean is terrified because he knows him and has followed him and looked up to him forever! And then Dean totally caves and drops his tough guys act and -- gah! *flails*

Also, I loved the Gordon resolution. It was a very fitting end for him. I even felt a little sorry for him when he was getting turned. Super Sammeh strength!

And Harmony as a vamp again at the beginning! Hee!

[identity profile] wildflowersoul.livejournal.com 2007-11-16 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)
That was Harmony?! I thought it was, but I had watched an episode of Buffy earlier, so I thought I was imagining things.

It was! I had to wait until she lost her fangs to be sure. I was a little bummed that she dies so quickly, although I also have to admit that I found Dean beheading her...disturbing hot. *faceplam*
