Our lease is signed!! I am still downright giddy, that was such a huge load lifted off my shoulders.

Watched the new Americanized "The Office" (with Steve Carrell) last night; it was absolutely hilarious.

We watched it too. It was shockingly well done for an Americanized british comedy. I hear that after this one they will deviate more from the BBC original.

I agree. I think Steve Carrell is the main reason they were able to pull it off so well. The man is comedic gold. I only saw a few episodes of the British version and barely understood what was going on.

Oh, we love the british version. The actor in that one is almost too good, he is pretty painful to watch sometimes. So many british comedies haven't translated well at all. Men Behaving Badly and Coupling for the US both stank. I have hope for this one. :)

I honestly just must be too dumb for "The Office" I tried to watch a bunch of the BBC ones and watched halfway through last night, and although I had a few giggles, nothing that was having me falling over laughing my ass off. The situations themselves are funny, the execution just falls flat on me.

I'm so glad you were able to keep your place. Moving is such an expensive hassle.

I like The Office but I found myself comparing it to the British version and the British version is more painful but better acted in the end. I will probably watch the American one more just because I can stomach it.
