In preparation for tomorrow's Landlord Visit, last night I scrubbed the kitchen floor by hand. That is hardcore. I think we need to have people over this weekend to see just how clean our place can actually be. It's like a brand new apartment!

Today I interview a candidate for our summer internship all by myself. That seems so very adult.

Why does it feel like it should be Thursday today?

I have always hand-and-knees scrubbed my floors. It is hard core work, indeed -- but it sure does get them clean. (Something a Swiffer doesn't come close to accomplishing!)

i know that 'is this a new apartment?" feeling - we recently got electric toothbrushes and totally cleaned the bathroom to make way for them - i was like, wow, i could eat out of the sink!

Happy birthday to me! I will never stop loving my birthday! It wasn't until a couple of years ago that I realized that most people hate February and associate it with ice, cold, darkness, basically misery. While I'm thinking, groundhogs, cake, presents, hearts and love, and snow days. February rocks! (Unfortunately snow days no longer apply. Damn adulthood!)
