This blog makes me long for England. Shut up, I love British food. I want to go back!

Also, Stella is coming to Boston Dec. 11. Michael Ian Black! David Wain! That other guy! We have our tickets already.

Also, I am over 35K words on my NaNo story. Productivity! I suppose if I get to the end of my story and need to pad to get up to 50K I can always add more make-out scenes. Make-out scenes!

If you weren't aware, I am way, way too excited to see Twilight on Saturday. Sparkly vampires!

Finally, last night we were discussing the infinity of space and it blew my freakin' mind.

Would recreating Brit food here suffice until you can? Should this be a theme brunch?

[identity profile] wildflowersoul.livejournal.com 2008-11-19 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooooooh, that would suffice indeed! Yesyesyes!

I'm ashamed to admit that I don't remember this, but what cut is used for English bacon? Looking at the pics in the blog, it seems like it might be crafted from the loin (similar to Canadian bacon...) as opposed from the belly.

Would you want to do the full English breakfast and go for black and white puddings as well?

[identity profile] wildflowersoul.livejournal.com 2008-11-19 06:45 pm (UTC)(link)
According to the intarwebs, it is the loin. NOM NOM NOM

I am a weenie, though, and I can't abide by the puddings.

K, I'ma get a cure going after consulting River Cottage or the like. Don't suppose you have brown and/or red sauce?

[identity profile] komos.livejournal.com 2008-11-19 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
You know what that means?

It's on.

I just got a message from itunes offering me a free remix of "Bella's song" for ordering my ticket early. *snickers

[identity profile] incandes-flower.livejournal.com 2008-11-19 06:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh whoops. It's "Bella's Lullaby" excuse me. Even more creepy.

[identity profile] wildflowersoul.livejournal.com 2008-11-19 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
He composed it while watching sitting in a rocking chair watching her slumber, totally not creepy at all. ;P

Is that the one by RPattz?

Kristen Stewart and the dude who plays the main vampire guy were on Today show this morning....they seemed really awkward about it. They kept saying they didnt realize how big of a fan base the books had...neither one knew anything about the books when signed on.....then they brought them outside in the freezing cold to talk to the thousands of fans waiting outside the Today Show studio....screaming crazy fans...a few got to ask them questions.....and they were all freaking out and screaming. 99.9% of the people looked like teenage girls.....but the thing is, i think after they started to answer a few questions, and seeing how awkward they were talking about the movie, the fans started to realize they were just actors, that THEY were actually NOT the character in the book....but it was like before they came out, it was like they were actually waiting for a vampire and a girl Bella (if thats her name) to come strolling out...It was just a really awkward moment i thought....The fans were crazy and the actors seems really uncomfortable about it all....i dont think they realized what they have gotten into....Kristen Stewart seemed more awkward than the guy....He was much more talkative....I think he like the attention, but she didnt....

Ive been chatting with Tenilly about this whole Twilight thing...Im definitely NOT a fan of it, because i hate cheesy vampire stories....but im all caught up in the hype of the movie....this is really really been hyped up, even more than say The Dark Knight (which is the greatest movie ever!!! heheehee)....I still expect a huge box office turnout especially the 1st week...it might break some records in the beginning...

But if you want a great vampire story, you need to read "Let Me In" by John Ajvide Lindqvist or go see the swedish film that just came out "Let the Right one In"......NOW THAT IS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT....A GREAT VAMPIRE STORY!!! Probably the best ive read since Interview with a Vampire.....Amazing amazing book, can't wait to see the movie!!!!!!
