Pretty much every night at bedtime when the lights are out and I'm rocking him West will point at the same corner of his room and say "who's that guy?" He is very insistent that there is a guy there even when I say I don't see anyone. I ask him what the guy looks like and he whispers "spooky." Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

Nope, he's not related to Drew at all.

Ha! You know, people say that Drew coached him to say these things, but I really don't think he did. But I'm sure it's just because Halloween was last month and he was totally into Halloweeny stuff. Right? Right. There is totally not a scary man ghost in his room.

Sorry, I have to vote for living in Salem, Halloween obsession and having a Daddy who probably talks about these things as the culprit.

Also, are you bored at work too? I totally am!

I am brain dead, it's been such a busy week with all kinds of hard requests, my brain actually hurts from thinking. Luckily I go home in 8 minutes!

When Martha was younger (around West's age), she was "friends" with an old lady who "lives" in our (incredibly ancient) house, who had a BIG, LONG nose. She was known as the lady with the big nose. FREAKED ME OUT. But haven't heard about her in quite some time. Phew.

Not. Cool.

(At Thanksgiving, my mother told me again how the house is haunted and how she periodically hears a mysterious thump in the corner of my old bedroom, which is now a part of their room. And that once my dad actually heard it too.)

Kids and their imaginary ghost friends! That is pretty creepy!

HAHA... no, never. I would not have slept in that room if I'd thought it was haunted.

She had some great stories about the big-nosed lady. She told us her name was Mary (but she just referred to her as the woman with the big/long nose). Yesterday, I asked Martha about her, wondering if she remembered the lady. And she said she did remember her but hadn't seen her in a long time. She said, "You mean the lady who used to appear on the wall when my crib was here?" (CREEPED ME OUT!) When I asked why she hadn't seen the lady in a long time, she told me that the lady with the long, long nose only comes when Martha invites her. But, having missed the lady with the long nose for such an extended period of time, it was time to invite her back for a tea-party. Apparently, they had a tea-party ALL night long while Martha slept last night. Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned it!

Honestly, I've actually withheld some of the things he says (and how he has said them) from you.

I guess its too early to start showing West Supernatural re-runs - He needs to learn how to fight these monsters : )There should totally be kids-friendly Winchester comics or something just for these types of spooky kid visions.

We can start him with some Scooby Doo! It's all just old men in ghost costumes. That's not actually less creepy to imagine in a bedroom, though....
