The loot includes 2 good sized samples of Miss Jessie's Pillow Soft Curls, a styling lotion I've heard good things about. Anything to try to tame the craziness that is my crappy hair.

Per-fekt Beauty lash perfection gel. It's a lash primer, conditioner, and mascara. I can get on board with that.

Nuxe melting cleansing gel with rose petals. It smells good, and the sample size is generous.

theBalm Hot Mama shadow/blush. I have never tried a peach hued blush, so we'll see how this works on me.

The extra is a man cologne, since the theme of December is "giving" presumably we are to give this away. I think Birchbox just really, really wants to sell more Birchbox Man subscriptions. Drew said he'd give it a shot. It smells rugged and warm and is actually quite pleasant.

Last month's dry shampoo, the Lulu Organics, was a surprise hit for me. It smells awesome and absorbs into hair better than the Lush dry shampoo, and it gives some nice shine when it's brushed in.

I remain very enthusiastic in hearing about these treats! I've been very interested in dry shampoo but there are so many - and I've heard such mixed things. It's good to know you liked the one you got! YAY. What exactly is a styling lotion? What do you do with it?

It's like hair gel but it doesn't get crunchy when it dries like gel. Unfortunately it usually doesn't hold curl as well as gel does. This stuff is keeping the frizzies at bay, at least!
