Apr. 7th, 2003 08:11 amweekend recap time.
Friday night was a lot of fun, despite certain circumstances. Went to Kings (the new bowling/pool/bar place next to Bukowski's). The place itself is a bit much, very bright and flashy with loud music- but we had good company, and that's what matters. Circumstances, yeah. So my ex works there, and apparantly was, um, displeased to see me. It's kind of sad to know that someone who was one of the most important people in my life for a year can't stand the sight of me. I can understand; I think I'm a little befuddled since through college I tended to become better friends with people after the romantic/physical aspect of things went awry. But I have said my piece, and that's all I have to say.

cosmicserpent, where we consumed beer, and of course said hello to eye_abstains, komos, ta_chuang, and jawalter. Damn those high-alcohol-content beers, I didn't actually drink much, but was pretty Done by the end of the night. It was definitely a good time. Of course, the looting at the end of the night was entertaining to watch.
Sunday: enjoyed a really nice lazy Sunday witheye_abstains, who later accompanied me to the splendid Godspeed You Black Emperor! show. Such pretty, pretty music. We even saw the aftermath of what appeared to be an indie rock rumble. I have no idea what went down but there were some irate, bleeding, and drunk people involved. Now, anyone who has heard the band knows that the idea of a fight breaking out during their set is pretty amusing because it's the furthest from fightin' music that I've ever heard.
Now I debate whether I want to show up for class tonight.
