May. 3rd, 2003 04:52 pmIt's so funny how much more you can get done when you have an afternoon alone in the apartment. While I intended to do something intelligent or at least somewhat interesting this afternoon, I just ended up puttering around, cleaning and doing laundry. Our apartment was a pigsty, though, so it's good to make an effort to de-pigsty it once in a while. I also opened a week's worth of mail, and am now confused about my retirement plan paperwork. The beneficiary stuff is confusing, I don't have a spouse, and it appears that's who they want to benefit from my untimely demise.
So, I'm a little weird. Ice cream trucks make me sad. When I was little, I thought the ice cream truck drivers had to live in the trucks, and that they were unemployed in the winter (and thus shivering and hungry in their ice cream trucks). I know now that this isn't the case, but I still hate hearing ice cream truck jingles as they drive by.
The tree outside my window is just starting to sprout pretty flowers. And the resident teens outside are starting to hang out in packs and yell at each other.
Tonight I shall seek out some fun of some kind. If it involves beer or even girly mixed drinks I will be a happy camper. And the liklihood of this happening is great, so methinks I'll probably be a happy camper.
