Last night T. and I finally explored the bike path that runs down by the water at the end of our apartment complex, it's really quite pretty. Apparently the path extends all the way to Southie.
So the paper's done. I'm officially on summer vacation.
Now I just need to make it through today and then my boss is on vacation for a week and a few days.

Get your tiki on! I can promise that I will do the tiki dance, though it will only be an anticipatory tiki dance and thus will not performed in the middle of the bar (get me drunk enough at Rock Bottom and I may just do it there...but you didn't hear that from me). Given that Friday night will involve somewhat cheap Rock Bottom goodness, I'm thinking that Saturday might be a good night to do dinner at the Tiki Room. A little more low-key than last week, as my funds are being stretched thin, but still, it will be Fun. I promise. Yeah.

So someone named "Rocko" had my new cell phone number before me... He is apparantly on the run from Citizens Bank... I can only assume that he had the number very recently, as I've gotten two messages and three calls for him in the past 24 hours.
After waiting on hold with Verizon for *20 minutes* last night, a very smarmy and snarky customer service man suggested that I "start to look at the caller ID on my phone" or get a new number. I'm gonna wait a day and if people keep looking for Rocko I may just change my number... he didn't have to be such an asshat, though. Obviously I look at the caller ID, but if it's just a phone number I have no way of knowing who it is. I have some numbers programmed into my phone, but not every number for everyone person who may conceivably call. Sheessh. I think this guy should meet up with Hudson from Loews. Poor customer service irks me because I am Always, without fail, very nice to people I'm calling with a problem. I know their job sucks, and many people are rude, so I make an effort to be polite.
On the positive side: my walk to work this morning smelled like freshly mowed grass. It was pleasant.
