(no subject)

Alright. I've accomplished two things on my list of stuff to do today. Namely, I did the dishes and then I Shopped. Did I ever shop. It's ridiculously hard to find a simple black dress right now. My jaw hit the floor a couple of times, as I made the mistake of entering Jasmine Sola. $300 is so much more than I'm willing to pay for style. And high style often looks kinda tacky. So I finally found a plain black dress at Banana Republic, in a size that I never thought my body could ever fit into. To go with the new dress, I got a new bra, and experienced what it's like to have a strange woman tape measure my boobs. I was surprised to find out that I'm still exactly the same size I've always been(which makes me suspect that I should have been wearing bigger bras when the rest of me was, um, bigger). So yay for patience in shopping, as I was tempted to buy some ugly ass-skirt at Jasmine just to end the shopping.
So tonight, possibly dancing? Should probably contact people sometime soon.... but it won't be for a while and I've got cookies I need to make. But if you wanna do something tonight, lemme know, as I'll be chomping at the bit to get out later this evening.

I forgot more stuff I had to say. First, I visited the ever-exciting Newbury Comics and got myself a copy of the Postal Service album and the new Superchunk double disc set.
Indie Rock. Sigh. I absolutely must motivate myself to get back into music. On that note, there are a ton of shows coming up. A ton! It's so exciting! The list: Belle and Sebastian (!), Built to Spill (anyone going on Tuesday? or Monday?), Le Tigre (must see Kathleen Hanna!), Superchunk, Death Cab for Cutie, Kristen Hersh, Crooked Fingers (wishy-washy on this one), Bettie Serveert (also wishy-washy). But holy crap.
