Oct. 17th, 2003 01:39 pmLast night was the Dave Attell/Lewis Black show. I think I laughed enough to add 10 years to my life. I was surprised to find out that I really, really enjoyed Dave and could have done with a little less Lewis (or that could be because all I wanted was water, the Orpheum had just stopped selling refreshing beverages right before his set, and Black proceeded to spend about 20 minutes on a bit about water). Pre-show I camped out at the bar at Fajitas & Ritas with the new Michael Moore book and waited for Drew,
synaesthesia and Tim (who probably has an LJ but I'm not sure) to show up. I sincerely enjoy sitting at bars and reading. The book's enjoyable, albeit with the usual Michael Moore "in your face" style that I would rather be toned down (if only because if he wrote a little better, or with less hyperbole, I think he would be taken more seriously). There's a bit in the introduction about kickass librarians fighting censorship, and it actually gave me a moment of librarian pride.
Whew. So Interpol tonight, then um, drinking somewhere TBD.
