Man, Library of Congress subject headings are annoying. Who on earth would think to look for "beauty operators" instead of "cosmetologists?" Now I have to make cross-references and all that crap. D'oh. Just realized that for the 10 volumes of this set I've already catalogued, I should go back and check on some cross-references to be sure to get everything in there.

Anyway, I now have how many weeks to buy presents? It's about that time for me to start freaking out about money. If my calculations are right, then I don't have much to worry about, but I will be much more cheap than usual when going out (and perhaps suggesting that we reinstate the "Friday night thing," as that's cheaper than going out ). Thank god for that extra Dec. paycheck, though a good chunk will go toward plane tickets. I keep checking the All Tomorrow's Parties website, but they still only have Slint listed in the line-up. I'm ready for Indie Rock!

Tricky's "Maxinquaye" is what a chilly winter evening calls for. I settled in ready for some trip-hop, when I realized that I got really, really lazy in transfering cds to my iPod. So instead of reading and listening to music, I'll be ripping cds into the old iPod. I don't even have any Massive Attack in that thing yet. I have a lot of stuff on vinyl that I'd like to listen to (Yo La Tengo's "I Can Hear the Heart..." being one in particular), but I can't afford to buy all of them again on cd or mp3. Must...hook up... record player.
