(no subject)

Oh, the commuter rail. I am starting to seriously think about driving to work for the rest of the summer. Or I will snap one of these days and tell jerks that in two months I won't be pregnant any more, but they will still be assholes. This morning- a jerk who yelled at me for having my messenger on the seat next to me (on the opposite side of me next to the window, not next to him)- I had already put one bag on the floor to accommodate him squeezing in next to me; I'd put my other bag on my lap if I still had a lap left on which to easily put things. Also I can't easily bend to the floor to get my train pass out of my wallet so having it in reach is essential. Fuck him. There were also plenty of open seats that weren't next to the obviously pregnant lady, but whatever, I am apparently now a magnet for the worst people to decide to squeeze in next to. After I explained to him that I'm 8 months pregnant and this is the amount of the space I take up he called the train conductor over to bitch about me. The conductor told him there were plenty of open seats on the train if he wanted to move. And gave me congratulations. Ha. I really dread my commute twice a day now. Not to mention that if it's really hot (which it often is given that it's summer), I am also attempting to, you know, not pass out while I am on the train.

You know what? I can now totally understand how some preggos get all entitled. You get beaten down enough just trying to get by normally, but people are so mean and rude, fuck it, you might as well start demanding special treatment. The worst people can do is treat you the same way they were going to in the first place. Sorry for the rant. I am going to look at pictures of cute bunny rabbits now.
