Sep. 19th, 2011 08:56 amToday is just... one of those days. Terrible night curtsey of West last night. This morning he dumped a bowl of baby yogurt on my work pants and the floor. Then I dropped a bowl of kiwi on the floor after painstakingly peeling it and cutting it up into West-edible sized chunks. Argh. So tired. So on my last nerve. Hoping to leave a few hours early today to grab a quick nap before the usual evening dinner shenanigans start. Feeling like a terrible mom because I must have said "stop it" so many times last night (he spent most of the night, when not screaming, kicking/hitting/pinching us), this morning his new word was "stop." At least it wasn't "you're the most annoying baby in the world," because in the middle of the night when I am delirious from sleep deprivation and bruised from kicks, yes, that's what I say to my kid. I am a real class act.
On the plus side, we took him to King Richard's Faire this weekend, and while it wasn't a golden day of wonder and whimsy, he handled it pretty decently and seemed to mostly have a good time. As with anything, I think by the end he was overstimulated and over tired. Hell, I was over tired by the time we left. But it was fun and was a gorgeous day for walking around and eating fried foods.
