Going to sleep last night knowing that finally some changes might be made was such a good feeling. Of course, this is the Democrats we're dealing with, and the idea that they might have to hold a solid position on something and not milk-sop out is still kind of a dream. But hey, a bunch of Republicans got ousted! Those were some close races, too. Flipping around between all the news stations last night, watching the stats come in and hearing pundits...pundit was fun. It was almost like a sports game or something.
Boo to Massachusetts voters for letting "what about the children" politics rule the day on Question 1. Selling wine in grocery stores would not signal the downfall of the American Family, your crappy parenting skills and reliance on a nanny state government is hurting your damn children. In Maine they sell booze in freakin' gas stations and it was still impossible for me to buy it when I was underage! The hell, people. I'm going to see how long I can last buying my booze strictly at Harvest Coop, Whole Foods, and Trader Joes, just to spite the liquor store lobby.
But good news, and Deval makes me happy.
Also, Metafilter reports that Britney Spears has filed for divorce!
