It's nice to have one of those moments when you stop and realize just how lucky you are.


I had a feminist rant about luxury tax on tampons ready to go, but can no longer find any facts to back it up, other than that they're taxed in Australia. Hrrmm. So much for that one.

Some credit unions are now letting you take out money from your checking account that you don't actually have- then you "promise" to deposit enough to cover it later. Weird.

Isn't that just over-draft protection?

It's more like a line of credit, but without actually making it a separate credit account. Overdraft protection is supposed to cover unintentionally going over what you've got, where this is for people who intend to spend money they don't have from the get-go.
