Wow. Did you know that John Kerry is not just more liberal than Ted Kennedy, but way more liberal than Kennedy? That's news to me.

I swear, I don't know why I bother trying to argue politics with my mom, but I always hold the hope that someday what I say will finally convince her. When someone is repeating party line, there's only so much I can say until it boils down to: "but that's just a lie!" Gah!

There was a Bush quote on the Daily Show this week (last night, maybe). Basically he said, I disagree with the 9/11 comission's findings that there was no link between Iraq and Al-Qaeda. I continue to believe that there was a link between Iraq and Al-Qaeda, because there was a link between Iraq and Al-Qaeda.

When this is the level of argument we've been reduced to, it's time to just disqualify everyone and start over from scratch. I think.
