My finger and my new chef's knife got into a tussle last night.
The knife won.
Luckily,
c_m_i's field dressing skills are top-notch.
My in-laws gave me the knife for Christmas. I'm beginning to suspect that knives given by our family are cursed with a blood lust.

dun dun dah.
Seriously, the amusing thing is that Drew is always telling me to not cut things with the cutting board hanging half-off the counter and me half-paying attention. That way: no problem. This time I actually had the darn cutting board firmly placed on the counter and was paying full attention (the better to fully appreciate the horror of my sweet, sweet blood welling up and gushing out).
