So kung-fu was pretty sweet. It was a really intense workout (am so, so very sore this morning), and I've already started to learn a couple of really basic moves. The people were very nice and there were no knuckle push-ups in sight (have some very unfond memories of knuckle push-ups in my childhood karate classes... on a wooden floor, no less). So I'm gonna do this once a week, see how that goes for a while. They recommend twice a week, but that's time and money that I don't really have.
Hee. I'm learning kung-fu. Awesome.

2x week = $85/month (I think there's a 3 month deal for that, too).
Rock On!
Date: 2006-03-10 05:57 pm (UTC)Also - toe-touching isn't easier for athletes unless they have regular stretching routines incorporated into their athletics. And even then, athletes tend to be very tight in one or two places (the hamstrings or the hips -- both of which need to be relaxed and gently stretched to touch the toes).
I am not an athlete, but I have always been able to touch my toes. Of course, I think God made me super bendy-flexy, so I could be a fearsome yoga instructor, so ... I'm not representative of the majority. ;-)
