I pushed myself so hard at kung-fu on Wednesday, and was so proud of myself for meeting the challenge. However, I think I pulled/strained something in the old back, because it's unbearably painful. And now I smell like old lady because I've slathered muscle rub on myself.

Can the day be over now?

I've been super bad about replying to comments lately, sorry 'bout that. I turned off comment emails when I went to Ireland and never turned them back on. I'll try to fix that today.

This weekend there will be merriment and the Borat movie, which excites me to no end.

And now...

The OC is back! And it's starting out more promising than last season. That may simply be the lack of Mischa Barton.

As always, the main plot of the episode tied up too quickly for my liking. I know that 5 months had passed and we assume Ryan's been doing the bar work/cage fighting (*snicker*) that whole time, but seriously, he's supposed to be that messed up and broken, and it took one heartwarming Cohen family moment to make him change his mind? I could have used a bit more Dark Ryan.

I was really hoping that Ryan and Julie Cooper were sleeping together, because that would have been so messed up but so dramatic. A bit disappointing to find out we're just going to have another Ryan On A Mission. But next week we'll see Volchuk! I'm sure he'll be just as one-dimensional as ever. Thanks, OC writers.

Summer.... I don't know if this was intentional, but I felt like they really did a great job of capturing that feeling of first getting to college and not knowing exactly what to do with yourself, and going home again for the first time and feeling like you don't belong there anymore. That seems almost too complext for the OC to convey, and I'm not sure if Rachel Bilson is that good of an actress or I was just reading too much into it. She looked lost, and that seems kind of perfect for her character right now. Plus, college hippies are funny.

Taylor! I'm so glad we're going to see more of her. She amuses me. And I'm totally betting that she's going to end up sleeping with Seth. And poor Seth! What is he doing? I've forgotten how they left things with him last season- does he have to wait a sememster to go to RISD?

Alright, I've gone on waaaaaay too long about this. One last thing- that cover of Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" was fantastic, and the opening scene using that song was just perfect. iTunes doesn't have the cover, though- Ms. [livejournal.com profile] tenillypo, do you have it?

Your thoughts, ladies?

Heh, great minds. I just posted my thoughts.

I could have used a bit more Dark Ryan.

Well, I'm hoping that next week's Volchuk mission will mean more Dark!Ryan. Also, he did go back and cage fight (hee!) again after having his heartfelt moment with Sandy, so I think there's still some darkness lurking.

I've forgotten how they left things with him last season- does he have to wait a sememster to go to RISD?

Yes. Because he applied to late, I think he's starting in January.

Also -- I do have that Placebo cover; I was actually going to send it to you last night, but yousendit wasn't uploading correctly. I'll try again tonight. Remind me if I forget!

You rock so much, as always. Thank you, lady! =)
