So I'm slightly embarrassed to admit this, but what the hell. As part of my weird little quarter life crisis, I've gotten it into my head that I... I want to take an acting class. That sounds so silly. Anyway, I'm curious, even though I'll probably suck at it. It's something I've never tried. But Cambridge Adult Ed's spring semester is around the corner, and I think I'm going to sign up for this class. If anyone else wants to join me, I'm always up for company when doing things outside my comfort zone.

Man, I'm just the opposite. If there are people around when comforts are being tested, I'll spend my time making jokes about how bad I am as opposed to actually trying new things.

Sweet! I'm thinking of doing the Thursday night classes, but I could probably do Wednesdays instead if that's more tempting, as I imagine I'll be cutting down kung-fu to once a week while doing this class.

You should take a look at improv classes, too. The Asylum's program is pretty good. :D Hell, I used to be a teacher there!

Good improvisers actually just STOP thinking. Besides, the level 1 class is like going to summer camp for 8 weeks. All you do is play games. :D

Hee. I will take that luck and put it in my pocket. All I want is to someday be a bit part on Law & Order or a CW show. That's humble enough! It's like how I only really want to win $100,000 in the lottery. Since I'm not hoping for millions, don't I deserve to win on the merits of my humbleness? Hee. I have a really warped way of thinking sometimes.

holy molies - well your credentials are living in the creativity house at Bates -- though I don't remember that you dressed up as a fruit when it really mattered... or did we?

geez, if the cure for this crisis like thing we are experiencing is doing things outside the comfort zone, then I'm totally screwed. I have been thinking about dance lessons though -- I just happen to be comfortable with dancing even though my lovely partner points out that the only time he was truly horrified by me was when he ran into us dancing crazily in the silo. he compares me to elaine on seinfeld. I said I would take a poll on my blog as to how bad my collegiate dancing really was, but then I wimped out as I determined he is probably correct.

You dance well! Besides, it was probably some sort of crazy drum & bass dance thing, and you -have- to dance funky to drum & bass! You should go for it if you want to, you've got the willowyness and grace to do it up well.

I think we did dress as fruit- I believe that was the first (but not only) time I've busted out a sexy strawberry shortcake outfit. Because fruit is sexy. Hee.
