I think my irritation would have been warring too hard with my amusement to stand that for three hours. But, damn. It might almost have been worth it.

the ticket price is the main thing i find off-putting. saw Hole in the ballroom at Virginia Tech in the mid.90's / couldn't have been more than 15 bucks.

.. but, um, you go to see Courtney Love and .. you're going to see Courtney Love: it's what she does BEST. a Rhode Island observer went to the Boston show on the 23rd and insisted it was the greatest concert experience of her life. i guess it all depends on what you're looking for !

(with that said, i can't pass up the chance to mention my own 9:30 Club experience. though Dinosaur Jr was the headliner, i went there for openers Magik Markers and Bardo Pond .. and was blown away! the club - a 900 person room, at best - started filling up for Dinosaur Jr and, even though i work around jet aircraft, i couldn't take the volume and had to walk out)

if you havent seen the documentary "Kurt & Courtney", its a must see and you will never look at her again the same way.

I honestly cant stand her, and it made me hate her more after that documentary.

I hope her daughter stays away from her. I believe last i read that her grandmother has official custody of her...

Hoo boy. I saw Hole in 1995 or so and don't care to relive that experience! The show ended early when a woman in the audience surprise fingered (!!) a stage-diving Courtney Love, resulting in a massive lady brawl. Fun times.
