West has mastered the tummy to back flip over, he did three in a row this morning! I kind of fear for the day when he's mobile and we can't put him on his play mat in the mornings and walk away to get ready for the day.

Also, making baby food was kind of enjoyable. Half a squash and a single sweet potato make a ridiculous amount of food, I can totally see how this is cheaper than buying jars. Of course, we'll see how long this lasts when time constraints and laziness could win out.

If you want any advice on making baby food, let me know. My mom was very very into that when my brother and I were babies. I don't think she ever bought a jar of baby food.

Sweet, thanks! I'm kind of astounded by the fact that at some point babies can eat whatever we have for dinner if it's pureed (and I guess if there's no extra salt?). Weird!

I made homemade baby food for Lauren.
With Kiera I got super lazy :D and just waited until she could eat what we were eating (with some cutting into smaller pieces of course!)

With two kids you are anything but lazy! =) I honestly don't know how you do it, the thought of wrangling a baby and a toddler at the same time boggles my mind.
