Yay for West clapping!

I think my brain is too broken for "Adventure Time." Loud noises and flashy colors might give me seizures.

Heh. I am so punchy from not having slept through the night in over 8 months, I need the flash and noises to keep me going. Seriously, omg, need sleep. I miss the newborn days because at least when he was up all night I knew what he wanted to stop crying.

We could form the no sleep club. I was trying to make it through thinking that it will get better. I guess not. Oh well, at least he generally falls back to sleep fairly quickly after he wakes up at night. I've only had to walk him around the apartment a couple of times.
I'm taking Quinn to Calais next week and I am supremely jealous that Jeremy will get a week of normal sleep.

You could have one of those babies I hear about who actually sleep well when they hit the 3/4 month mark! West has had a few weeks here and there where it seemed like he was finally settling into sleeping well, but it seems like something comes along to change it super quickly- now we are stuck in the vortex of teething pain and getting ready to crawl, the nights have been hell lately. He sleeps just long enough for me to fall asleep, then jars me up with whining/crying/screaming and is inconsolable for like an hour before he quiets down a bit. Then it repeats.

I'm not going to count on Quinn sleeping well, but we'll see. Sorry to hear about the teething thing. That's awful. Quinn is usually up for about an hour too, but that is with changing, feeding and settling back down. Sometimes it is a bit faster, but it is still every two to three and a half hours lately so there isn't much rest.

And now I feel like a horrible mommy because it turns out West has pink eye and double ear infections. No wonder the poor kid couldn't sleep the past few nights! We never would have known about the ear infections if he hadn't developed green goop oozing from his eyes, so... yay pink eye?

babies can be impossible to read because they can't tell you what is wrong, and ear infections are like - WTF - because sometimes they are symptomatic, and sometimes not ... you should never think yourself a horrible mommy when you can't figure out what is going on inside your baby. babies are hard!

I was going to say the same thing. Sometimes it is impossible to tell when a baby has an ear infection. You aren't a horrible mommy! Glad to hear that you now know what is wrong and he can get some medicine. :)
