We had to have our guinea pigs put to sleep recently (old age, and they both had at least 1 form of cancer, among other ailments - very sad). The other day, Martha said to me, "I think grandma and grandpa are going to die soon." I asked her why she thought that. "Well," she said, "the guinea pigs died when they got old, and grandma and grandpa are old."

She was always very good with the guinea pigs. She loved helping to feed them and what not. We miss our poor piggies.

I'm so sorry for your loss, pets are really part of the family, that must have been hard for you. Martha is such a smart kid!
