I had a bee in my bonnet on Sunday to go jogging, so when West took a nap I went for a couple of spins around the Common. I haven't jogged since before I was pregnant. Ouch. Everything hurts. It did feel pretty nice at the time, though.

Sometimes I like to browse around HomeExchange.com and dream about switching homes with someone in Sweden or Italy... or Spain or Ireland... or anywhere.... for a week vacation. It seems like such a cool idea. I think we need to be pet-less for it to be a possibility, though the site claims that some people are ok with pets.

Also- Breaking Dawn I was just too hilarious. I actually loved the cheesiness of the first few movies, but this one is over the top bad. I will still be excited for the last movie. And for Hunger Games!!

Nice job with the jogging!

I have people on my FB friends list talking about how awesome Breaking Dawn was. It makes me question our friendship.

Ha! I am willing to give these movies A LOT of slack, but this one was just bad, bad, bad.

we saw Drew at Gulu the other day, and he mentioned you went to see Twilight...Ive seen some reviews and called it the "The Worst Twilight Yet!" Is that really possible to make it even worse than the others? Although ive never seen any of them, from what I hear you would really have to put a lot of effort to make an even worse Twilight movie than the others, and it sounds like they succeeded. Did everyone you go with feel the same way?

I read a comment by a fan of the books and she said she wished they never made movies of these because its a much better book than a movie could ever be.

The Hunger Games does look pretty good. I haven't read them yet. I really want to read Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. That next on my list :)

The spy book is the Book Club book, right? I want to read it, too, I'd better get a move on!

Yeah, this was definitely the worst Twilight yet. At one point there is a conversation amongst the CGI wolves. Talking wolves! For crying out loud.

The idea that the books are better is a complete lie. They are equally as atrocious, but sometimes there's a moment or two in the movies where the director does something a little different or throws in a moment of actual humor. With the books, you're stuck in Bella's humorless, dull little brain the entire time.

All i know is that any vampire story fan should just read "Let Me In". Best vampire book since Interview with a Vampire.

Yah, Ive read people complaining KStewart is dull and boring and has no emotions in the movies. So that makes sense if she is dull and humorless in the books as well. KStewart got it right then!

So the wolves never talked before?

Yup, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy was Joe's bookclub recommendation. I havent picked it up yet, but been meaning to for like a year. i hope to get it within the next few weeks :)

Ooh, home exchange, vacation, I want, now. I don't suppose anyone would want to come stay in a stinky oil refinery town with few restaurant options, dive bars, and antique stores, even if it is within an hour or so of San Fran. Maybe I could tempt someone with the opportunity to come see our neighborhoods pack of wild turkeys.

I guess you'd have to find some bunny lovers to exchange with, huh?

You'd be surprised! I think your proximity to San Fran is a big selling point, and there's also wine country and whatnot.

Well, by the time we have money for international travel I expect we'll be down to one bunny. Robo is ancient and Grens is getting pretty old.

Still waiting to hear re: LK's interview earlier in the month?

Lucas was in his office this morning and I was in the bedroom and he says "Oh my god, come here" in a really excited voice.

I'm thinking, wow, he got an e-mail from Brown.

No. He wanted me to see the RoboStir infomercial.

We're still waiting on pins and needles.

Ha! Ok, I watched the RoboStir commercial on YouTube.. and it led me to the Easy Freezy. Slushies at any time! That said, I own a knock-off SlapChop and never actually use it.

Good for you going jogging! I'm sure you've heard the Couch to 5K pitch already, but I bring it up because it has provided a (semi-) sustainable way for me to go jogging. To be honest, I've gotten too busy to do it often enough to make real progress, but even staying at week 4 (the start of 5 minutes running), it provides a structured jog that is challenging but not so hard as to be unattainable.

I love the idea of Couch to 5K! I wish I had the inclination to make time for exercise. I say I don't have the time, but I know that everyone has to consciously make the choice to make the time. I keep thinking that in a couple of years it'll be easier to squeeze in exercise time again. I just hope I don't turn into a muscle-less whale before then...
