You know what's nice? Private car service to/from the airport. OMG I felt like a movie star. Went down to our DC office yesterday and came back yesterday evening. I think I'm still exhausted from all the travel.

Ok, so [livejournal.com profile] tenillypo recommended a book to me, and she never fails to knock it out of the park when she recommends books. Divergent is totatlly going to be the next Hunger Games. Action! Dystopia! Romance! It is pretty much everything I want in a book, and the writing is actually good!

You forgot the most important part -- no unnecessary and unsatisfying love triangle!

Oh yeah! I kept expecting a triangle to form and am pleasantly surprised that it's not!

I think Divergent is ahead of Hunger Games in my affections right now for that reason alone...

It is so, so good. I am, like, obsessed with this book now. You will not be disappointed!

While you wait for Divergent, check out All These Things I've Done (by Gabrielle Zevin). Easily one of the best YA dystopians I've read.

Oooh, awesome giveaway! I've heard really good things about the Uglies series, I really need to check it out.

I read the Uglies series last year, it was really good. Though, I think the third book in the series was a bit much. The 4th - skip it.

I just put All These Things I've Done on hold at the library. Thanks for the suggestion!

Sweet, good to know. I'll have to pick your brain for more recommendations sometime! Let me know how you like All These Things I've Done when you've read it! T-Po really liked it, too.

I read Divergent last summer and LOVED it - like, seriously really truly. I had no idea it was the first of a series until recently - I'm on an epic waiting list for Insurgent now!

I really loved Gabielle Zevin's Elsewhere - definitely going to have to check out All These Things!

I'm halfway through Insurgent and it is just as great as Divergent!! Also, they are making a Divergent movie, scheduled for release in March 2014!

I was waffling about Elsewhere because it sounded like it might be depressing, but if it's really good I should give it a shot. All These Things is amazing, and there's a sequel coming out next week, so if you like it you won't have to wait long for the next one!
