I was thinking about doing a year in review, but I kinda don't have that much to review. A year ago West was still waking up in the middle of the night wailing for milk breaks. Half a year ago he started sleeping through the night on occasion. So, uh, I've started to get slightly more sleep this year. Except for last night, for lo, we paid dearly for our two blissful nights of unimpeded sleep, and last night was a doozy.

Wait, I have done some stuff this year! I served on a city committee to get a playground rebuilt. I was a delegate to the state Democrat convention. I wrote a professional blog post that has already had about 5K unique hits. I feel like I'm kicking butt at my job and am really close to completing a project goal I'd set for myself for this year (fiscal year ends in March so I still have a couple of months to deliver on deadline). I've started making some serious headway on my genealogy research.

Woo-hoo. Anyway, though I feel like I don't have much to show for it, 2012 was a fine, fine year. We've got ourselves an adorable kid who is awesome.
