I stayed up too late last night re-reading a book I've read twice already. D'oh. It's Divergent, this book seriously makes me want to write. I am just enamored with the tightness of the plot. I actually had a nerd conversation on the train today- the guy next to me wanted to know about the Kindle I was using, then he showed me he was reading the 3rd Game of Thrones book and we nerded out about GoT, then he was saying that he was going to read Wheel of Time next. I love cultural touchstone books.

West is now tall enough to actually open doorknobs. The other morning I heard him over the baby monitor say "oh, they're gone," I went up to check and he had opened the door between his room and ours and he was standing there clutching his snuggle doggie.

Also, I really need to stop making Youtube playlists. Here is my ridiculous 80s playlist.

Haha... I read Divergent and Insurgent over the winter holidays and really enjoyed them. And now to wait until the fall!! Boo.

Have you read Allie Condie's (sp?) "Matched" trilogy? The third one was recently published but I haven't gotten to it yet. Another dystopian story.

I have the final Wheel of Time book but I'm holding off on starting it 'cause I know it's going to destroy my sleep and productivity. I want to try to accomplish some house cleaning/organization projects first.

I just read Matched last week and am reading Crossed right now!! I am really enjoying this series so far!

I know, I don't want to wait that long for the last Divergent book. I wish it could be uploaded directly into my brain. They're making a Divergent movie due out next year!

I stopped reading the Wheel of Time series after book 6, just didn't have the patience for it, but those first 5 books were amazing!

The very last WoT book ever came out this week. I'm procrastinating picking it up because part of me doesn't really want it to end, I think.

I can't believe there's no Showtime or HBO WoT series in the pipeline yet. Seems like with how well GoT and all the Lord of the Rings stuff is doing that would be the next logical thing.

I have a feeling whenever anyone contemplates is, they start hyperventilating over how much work it would be just to cut the number of characters down to a manageable amount for film.

Although maybe now that there's a definite ending, some brave soul may attempt it...

Ha, good point. They could a series of movies, each from the perspective of a different main character! If they can make the Hobbit into 3 movies surely they can make WoT into... 10 movies? Hollywood, call me!

This. Plus I think most WoT fans are over and done with the series and glad that Brandon Sanderson was able to carry the torch past Jordan's death and the the story finished.

I wonder how Jordan's widow feels - whether she's also beyond done with it or if it helps with missing her husband.

Good lord, I'm so behind on reading. I was going to ask you if I could borrow the first Mortal Instruments book to prepare for that movie. I have to finish the third Hunger Games book first though. Not enough time!
