I thought you might be intrigued. Possibly not intrigued enough to get up to Salem on a weeknight, but still...

Heh. Yeah, I've got the Avett Brothers show that night anyway. It's a nice thought, though. Are you going to go?

(I meant to e-mail you today, btw, but got totally sidetracked by an emergency vet visit. How's week two of daycare going?)

Nah, by the time I get home and eat dinner I need to book some quality time with the little one, and I'm not feeling super fan-ish enough for it.

Emergency vet visit, oh no! Is Minnie Moo ok?

I didn't cry this morning! That's a start! It feels really good to be in the moment at work, and the day goes by really fast. I am really enjoying my train time for reading, too (I'm working on the latest installment of Lady Julia and Brisbane- he has not been prowling around like a cat yet... and in a week or two there's a new Lady Emily and Colin Hargreaves book coming out!). I just wish there were more hours in the day for work and baby cuddles in equal proportion. Sigh. But Anna gave me a digital subscription to Mothering magazine, and I spent some time today perusing the working moms forum, it helps to read lots of other people feeling the same conflicted feelings about working and babies. I'm trying really hard to believe that it's quality of time, not quantity.

Minnie Moo has gotten herself a bit of a bladder infection, apparently. It was causing her to have minor seizures and squeal a lot last night, which freaked me the hell out. But now she's on antibiotics which will hopefully clear it up.

Not crying is a very good start! And it's definitely good you're hearing you're not alone. I know it will get better as time goes by!

Oh no, that must have been so scary. I'm so glad you know the cause and it's an easy fix! Sending get well soon thoughts to the piglet!

Thanks -- the medicine seems to have started working almost immediately because I didn't see any more signs of pain yesterday after we got back. *crosses fingers*

I'm glad to hear that you are doing a bit better. I agree that with time it will get easier and easier.

I really do believe it is quality not quantity. And yay for Mommy reading time! It is good that you get to feed some of your own needs.
